[That text is pretty short and sweet, isn't it? But nevertheless, he had been at a loss on how to take care of his newly hatched Absol. Which is really problematic since apparently all his Absol's been doing is avoiding him as if he was a plague, and that really doesn't bode well for him.
...This would be the time where the video feed turns on, and showing an Absol just hiding away from him, and a worried Zorua trying to coax it... her? Out of hiding. The feed's going to turn back to Lancelot's ever stoic face, though his tone does indeed show some form of concern.]

...And now have an Absol just beaming at the Gear. Which just gives Lancelot the answer that yes, the young missed its parent, and that it's not really sick at all...
Though, this does leave one more question.]
