...How does one raise a new born... Pokémon?

[That text is pretty short and sweet, isn't it? But nevertheless, he had been at a loss on how to take care of his newly hatched Absol. Which is really problematic since apparently all his Absol's been doing is avoiding him as if he was a plague, and that really doesn't bode well for him.

...This would be the time where the video feed turns on, and showing an Absol just hiding away from him, and a worried Zorua trying to coax it... her? Out of hiding. The feed's going to turn back to Lancelot's ever stoic face, though his tone does indeed show some form of concern.]

It has been avoiding me ever since it hatched. Perhaps it is sick?

[IN SHORT HOW DO I RAISE A BABBY POKÉMON???]

Speak softly, sit down so you are close to its level and therefor not as intimidating, and have patience. [[Rose has dealt with one or two extremely shy Pokemon in her time.]]

If you've any food or berries, you can try setting those out for it, especially if it has yet to eat. And most importantly, let it come to you. Don't try to touch it until it has made itself acquainted with you and your smell and seems comfortable. That would be my suggestion.
tentacletrainer: (That's very kind of you to say.)

I have a decent amount of experience dealing with infant Pokemon and always wish to help people new to it, so no thanks are necessary. You may also call me Rose if you wish.

...it's a pleasure to meet you, Sir Lancelot.
