[The person on the screen just turned to the sides and pouted, which nets him another sigh as a... twin appeared on the screen with an exasperated sigh. As well as his somber (and pretty) face pretty much clashing with the derpy smile right besides him.]

Um...a little bit. I know that Kiritsugu figured out that the Holy Grail was evil and destroyed it. Also, Archer and his Master stuck around afterwards.

[The Grail's destroyed, and Archer's Master survived.

The conclusion of the 4th Grail War was something he never expected. For the winner would be granted a wish should they be victorious, so why would the Grail even be destroyed?

That's right. No one here is any stronger than a regular human. Magic doesn't exist here, so we have to rely on Pokémon for self-defense.

But anyway, there's more to Pokémon battles than just sending one out to fight another one. There's different strategies involved. Like, some types are weak against others and strong against a few more. Like, a Normal-type like Sentret is weak against Fighting-type moves, but immune to Ghost-type moves.

Ah, so different-types of these creatures are weak to a certain type?

[Alright he's getting somewhere with this, at the very least...!]

Yeah. A lot of them are common sense -- like fire being weak against water -- but some of them are a little more...obtuse? Like Dark being weak to Fighting and Bug.

[The darkness is weak against bugs.

Could you tell me the names of these 'types', young man?

Sure. There's seventeen types. There's Normal, Fire, Water, Grass, Ice, Electric, Flying, Poison, Bug, Fighting, Ground, Rock, Psychic, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Steel. Everyone here seems slightly drawn to one or two types, too. Even if they have multiple types.
